Author of the bestselling A Practical Manual of Beekeeping and The Beekeeper's Field Guide and a professional beekeeper for 20 years, DAVID CRAMP BSc gained a Post Graduate Diploma in Apiculture from the Bee Research Unit at the University of Wales (Cardiff). He then kept bees in various remote parts of Spain, specialising in organic honey production, before moving to New Zealand in 2004 to manage a 4000 hive pollination and manuka honey beekeeping operation. He writes extensively for the UK, US and Spanish bee press, as well as editing the online beekeeping magazine Apis UK.
