Juniper Bowers is a certified yoga instructor and a licensed secondary educator who has been teaching for over 20 years. She began her career in education as a high school Spanish teacher. When Juniper received her Yoga training at Inner Gate Yoga, she was drawn immediately to teaching yoga to children. Her first yoga curriculum for kids, InterActive Anatomy, combines the study of anatomy through movement. Juniper began teaching InterActive Anatomy as a summer program class and eventually began teaching the class at Aldo Leopold Charter High School in Silver City, NM as an elective. The class evolved to become Mandala Yoga, which includes group yoga and team building exercises, along with the study of mandalas, art, sacred geometry, and even rhythmic clapping games and brain gym. This book is a compilation of the poses created by the class. Juniper lives in Mimbres, New Mexico, with her husband Daniel and her two kids, Escher and Semilla. She loves to practice Yoga and Thai massage/Rossiter and has written three yoga curriculums for children: InterActive Anatomy, Mandala Yoga, and Alphabet in Action.
