The Beginning of the End by W Ellis
Walter Ellis grew up in East Belfast. He and his sister were not abused as children. Instead, he was sent to school each day and to church on Sunday. But, determined that he should not suffer from the crippling disadvantage of a happy Irish childhood, Ellis systematically set about destroying everything that gave him stability.
Walter Ellis, married, with one son, writes a column from New York for the Belfast Telegraph. He contributes to the Sunday Times, the Times Higher Education Supplement and The Spectator, as well as a variety of US papers.
