John Scott is a sociology professor at Plymouth University and the Pro Vice-Chancellor for Research. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, an Academician of the Academy of Learned Societies in the Social Sciences, and an Academician of the British Academy. Conceptualising the Social World and The Sage Handbook of Social Network Analysis (both 2011, co-edited with Peter Carrington) are two of his most recent publications.
