The Berlin Raids by Martin Middlebrook
A study of the Battle of Berlin 1943-44, charting the RAF's effort to end the War by aerial bombing. More than 400 people involved have been interviewed in an attempt to bring together both sides of the story - of the RAF, the Luftwaffe and experiences of ordinary people in the target city.Martin Middlebrook's previous publications, including The First Day on the Somme, Kaiser's Battle, The Peenemünde Raid, The Somme Battlefields (with Mary Middlebrook), and The Nuremberg Raid 30-31st March 1944 (all reissued and in print with Pen and Sword), deal with significant turning points in the two world wars. Martin Middlebrook lives near Boston, Lincolnshire, and is a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society.
