About the Authors Holly Hughes is a freelance writer and editor who lives on the Upper West Side of Manhattan with her husband and three children. She has been the editor of Pocket Books' Nancy Drew Mysteries, a contributing editor to Scholastic's Literary Cavalcade magazine, and an executive editor of Fodor's Travel Guides. For Frommer's, she has been series editor for Frommer's Irreverent Guides and Frommer's By Night guides. New Zealander Sonja Deely, whose first child was born in June 1998, learned the ropes of raising a child in New York City by assisting Holly in fact-checking this edition. Mercer Warriner is an editor and writer living in SoHo with her husband and two sons. She has been editor and writer on various Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys series; as a senior editor at Berkley Books, she acquired and edited romances and mysteries. She has also worked at William Morrow and Pocket Books. Jennifer Lebin is a student in a joint degree program at Columbia University and the Jewish Theological Seminary. She has lived in New York since 1993.
