The feel-good place to buy books

Abbie Hoffman (1936-1989) was a civil rights and anti-war activist, anarchist, and revolutionary political organizer who co-founded the Youth International Party (Yippies). During the 1968 Democratic National Convention, he was arrested and tried for his role in protests that resulted in police violence, and while in jail, he began writing Steal This Book, which became known as The Trial of the Chicago Seven. Hoffman's activity lasted well into the 1980s, and he is still regarded as a symbol of counterculture today.
