Deborah was born and raised in the South, where she wrote her first novel at the age of thirteen and has continued to write ever since. She studied Irish Literature in graduate school and came to feel that all Irishmen and Southerners are born storytellers. She enjoys music and plays the clarinet in addition to writing. She since devotes her time to law, music, writing, and her two Golden Retrievers, Melody and Rhythm, now that her children have grown up. Before going to law school, Deborah taught college English and worked as a technical editor.

She worked for several prominent East Coast companies before relocating to California in the mid-1980s, where she established a solo appellate business while raising her three children as a single parent. She is a qualified appellate specialist with a Master of Laws and a Masters in English. She is admitted to the bar in two states and the District of Columbia. Even a legal case, she says, must begin with a story. https://www.facebook.com/DanceForADeadPrincess Facebook https://www.facebook.com/deborah.hawkins.37 blog http: //dhawkins.net blog http: //deborahsbookreviews.com Amazon http: //www.amazon.com/Dance-For-Dead-Princess-ebook/dp/B00C4HP9I0
