Between Past and Future by Will Guy
An edited collection of papers on the experience of the Roma in eastern and central Europe since the collapse of Communism.Will Guy is a sociology research fellow at the University of Bristol in the United Kingdom. While completing his dissertation on Czechoslovak Communist policies toward Roma, he wrote the text for the first edition of Gypsies in 1975. His most recent academic research, which he conducted on behalf of the European Commission and international NGOs, focuses on the evaluation of Roma social inclusion efforts. Between Past and Future: The Roma of Central and Eastern Europe (2001) and Roma Migration in Europe: Case Studies (2004) are two volumes he edited on the subject.
