(After the school was relocated to Providence, Rhode Island, it became the Institute of Biblical Providence.) Kenyon worked as an evangelist for more than twenty years.
With his program Kenyon's Church of the Air, he became a pioneer of Christian radio on the Pacific coast in 1931, winning the award for Faith Builder. In Seattle, Washington, the New Covenant Baptist Church was also founded. Kenyon scribbled prolifically in addition to his pastoral and radio ministry. Dr. E.W. Kenyon was born in Saratoga County, New York, in 1867.

(After the school was relocated to Providence, Rhode Island, it was renamed the Providence Bible Institute.) Kenyon was an evangelist for nearly twenty years. With his show Kenyon's Church of the Air, he became a pioneer in Christian radio on the West Coast in 1931, earning the moniker The Faith Builder.
In Seattle, he also founded the New Covenant Baptist Church. Kenyon wrote substantially in addition to his pastoral and radio ministry.
