Billys War by Vincent Atherton
Billy Atherton volunteered to join the British Army at its darkest hour in 1942 to defend his country and his people. When Billy reached Germany in 1945 Hitler committed suicide. When he set off to fight Japan Hirohito surrendered. This left him stranded halfway, in Jerusalem, and his real troubles then began.
Vincent Atherton used to be a Human Resources Manager, writing business reports, but longing to write a novel. Now he spends his time reading, writing and making presentations about his books. For a while he also went to Lancaster University to get a bit a bit of advice on how to write better and collect a Masters in Creative Writing. Billy’s War is his second historic novel following Viking Voices
