Drawing on the personal reminiscences of the last three surviving cricketers from the 1947/48 season, it brings that hot, wet summer vividly to life.
Max Bonnell is a lawyer and writer who has published numerous books on law, sport and history. He has twice won the Jack Pollard Trophy for the best book on Australian cricket. Andrew Sproul is a history graduate of the University of Western Australia and a life member of the Applecross Cricket Club in Perth. Their previous collaboration was the award-winning Tibby Cotter.
