“An essentialKevin Morosky always.” – Candice Carty-Williams

“Kevin Morosky shows us how to put respect on Black women's names. This is more than a book, it's a long overdue loving conversation.” – Nova Reid, Black woman and author of The Good Ally

“This is without a doubt one of the most important books I've ever read, the depths of truth uncovered, examined, and celebrated with such elegance, are further proof we must protect Black women at all costs!” – Dominic Buchanan

“A book of warm and tender conversations that provide a safe space.” – Bolu Babalola, screenwriter and author of Love in Colour

“The whole book feels like a giant hug, a hug I've not had in a long, long time. I’ve spent a lot of time crying over these beautiful thought-provoking essays. They are so poignant, so tender, so beautiful it feels like, well how I wish black women were treated.” – Jeanie Annan-Lewin

“The essential guide for getting back in touch with your creative voice and a way to honour the women most important in our lives.” – Haaniyah Angus, Dazed

“There were so many moments where I was nodding along and thinking, ‘Yeah, exactly.’ It’s a very emotional and real book… It is a book that I wish came out three years ago when I started as a writer.” – Michaela Makusha, 1883 magazine
