Blackstone's Police Investigators' Manual by Paul Connor
The Blackstone's Police Investigators' Manual 2013 is the only official study text (used alongside the Investigators' Workbook 2013) for the National Investigators' Exam (NIE), which is taken as part of Phase 1 of the Initial Crime Investigators' Development Programme. Based on the bestselling Blackstone's Police Manuals, it provides all the legal information which is relevant to the role of a trainee investigator, namely in the areas of Evidence; Property Offences; Assaults, Drugs, Firearms & Gun Crime; and Sexual Offences. Now in its fifteenth edition, this Manual is fully updated for 2013 with new case law and legislation, including the Policing and Crime Act 2009, the Corporate Manslaughter and Corporate Homicide Act 2007, the Criminal Procedure Rules 2011, the Crime and Security Act 2010, the Coroners and Justice Act 2009, and the Police Detention and Bail Act 2011. There are also new chapters on Cybercrime and Disclosure of Evidence.
