Blackwood Library Edition by Evan Dorkin

When four teenagers with haunted pasts enroll in Blackwood College - a school that trains students in the occult - their desire to enhance their supernatural abilities and bond with others is hampered by an undead dean's curse, ghosts in their dorm, a mischievous two-headed mummy-chimp, a plague of mutant insects, and the discovery of an ancient evil that forces our heroes to undergo a crash course in the occult for the sake of the world.

Evan Dorkin (born April 20, 1965) is a comic book artist and writer from the United States. Milk & Cheese and Dork are two of his most well-known pieces. Dorkin's comics frequently mock fanaticism, despite the fact that he is a fan himself. Dorkin has authored for animation as well as comics, notably Space Ghost: Coast to Coast (co-written with his wife Sarah Dyer, who is also a comics writer/artist). He also created and produced Bring me the Head of Boba Fett, an animated television pilot based on his own characters for Adult Swim called Welcome to Eltingville.

Dorkin and Dyer also contributed to the Superman animated series, writing several episodes, including Live Wire, which introduced a new character with the same name. In addition, the two collaborated on the script for the English-language adaptation of the anime Shin Chan, which was released in 2006. Further episodes were authorized after an original six-episode order proved successful, however Dorkin and Dyer are no longer working on the series. Dorkin has won a number of Eisner Awards, including Best Writer/Artist: Comedy in 2002.
