Blade of Light by Deyan Sudjic
The Millennium Bridge is the first London Bridge across the Thames since Tower Bridge in 1894. It represents a unique collaboration of architect, sculptor and engineer (Sir Norman Foster, Sir Anthony Caro and Chris Wise of Ove Arup), brought together by an FT-sponsored competition which was the catalyst for an historic cross-river partnership involving, amongst others, the city of London and Southwark boroughs. The Bridge links St Pauls to the Tate Gallery at Bankside and is expected to play a significant role, alongside the Tate and New Globe Theatre, in the regeneration of the south side of the river. This book is a celebration of this London landmark, describing a remarkable marriage of design and engineering.| SKU | Unavailable |
