Blessing The Hands That Feed Us by Vicki Robin
Taking the local food movement to heart, Vicki Robin pledged for one month to eat only food sourced within a ten-mile radius of her home on Whidbey Island in Puget Sound, Washington. Although a staunch believer in local food it wasn't till she moved to Whidbey Island and realised that, although the island had abdundent natural resources, most of the food was transported over from the mainland, that Robin decided to take action. When a local farmer got in touch, the two devised a plan so Robin would source her food from within a 10 mile radius.
