Blue and White Pottery by Gillian Neale
The wide range of pottery decorated in blue and white with intricate transfer-printed patterns is popular among collectors. Intended as an introduction to the subject, this guide provides information on materials, techniques, manufacturers, and styles.
Gillian Neale began collecting blue-and-white pottery after inheriting a bowl in the "Italian" pattern from her grandmother. She established her own antiques business in the early 1980s and now from her base in Aylesbury deals exclusively in blue-and-white wares. She is a member of the British Antique Dealers' Association and spends much of her time attending major vetted antiques fairs across Britain. Gillian has given talks on blue-and-white pottery and has also appeared as an expert on BBC1's Going for a Song. sales points
