
Blue Sky Warriors by Antony Loveless
Since 2006 the RAF has provided major air support in southern Afghanistan to help with reconstruction and to support the authority of the Afghan government. This title presents the personal stories of a complete cross-section of the RAF's personnel deployed on the frontline in Afghanistan.
Antony Loveless is a freelance journalist and photographer. His work has appeared in The Guardian, BBC, Zoo, Sky News, Real, Bizarre, Royal Air Force Magazine, Defence Helicopter, Airliner World, Pilot, Skydiving and Despatches. He is also a regular contributor to two news agencies on a range of issues. In January 2004 Antony was appointed as Baghdad Bureau Chief for the London Press Service, a position he held until the hand over of power to the Iraqis in June. Antony has flown with the RAF, sailed beneath the Atlantic in a Royal Navy nuclear submarine and spent a week shadowing the City of London Police's firearms team on operations.
