This text is a photographic tribute that provides an insight into the career, life and personality of Bob Marley. It traces Marley's life from his youth in Jamaica and the birth of the Wailers to his worldwide acceptance and tragic death at the age of 36 in 1981.

Bruce W. is a Los Angeles native. After a tremendous career documenting R&B aristocracy in the explosive 1970s, Talamon (1949) has been a staple in the film industry as a stills photographer for 39 years. All of the major Hollywood studios used his images as crucial poster art in several commercial campaigns. His work has also featured in People, Rolling Stone, Ebony, Vanity Fair, and NPR. He was a contract photographer for Time magazine in the 1980s. Bob Marley: Spirit Dancer is his first book.
