Gordon Thomson has been a lifetime railway fan since he was a teenager in the late 1960s. He has resided in Ayrshire since 1980, where he has developed a deep interest in the history and development of railways in this beautiful part of Scotland. As a member of the Ayrshire Railway Preservation Group, he is actively concerned in railway preservation.
