Alex Hirsch is a director, writer, animator, and voice actor. He is most known for co-writing the #1 New York Times best-selling book Journal 3 and inventing the Disney XD show Gravity Falls. He was born and reared in Piedmont, California, and graduated from The California Institute of the Arts with a BA in Character Animation.
