Lewis Turco is an English professor and the director of the State University of New York College at Oswego's Department in Writing Arts. The Book of Forms, The New Book of Forms, Dialogue, and The Shifting Web: New and Collected Poems are among his many works. His honors include the Poetry Society of America's Melville Cane Award in 1986, the Silverfish Review Chapbook Competition in 1989, and Poet magazine's Cooper House Chapbook Prize in 1990.
