The surviving works of Ausonius (ca. AD 310ca. 395) include much poetry, notably The Daily Round and The Moselle. In Volume II, there is also an address of thanks to Gratian for the consulship; the stated aim of Eucharisticus by Paulinus Pellaeus (AD 376after 459) is to give thanks for the guidance of providence in its authors life.
