In 1459 open war breaks out as York and Lancaster fight for the crown of England but, as the Wars of the Roses begin, the rule of law breaks down.

In the heart of Yorkshire, an old local score is being settled. For young knight, Ned Elder, a feud has begun and he barely escapes with his life. Father executed, brother butchered and sisters abducted, he is pursued across the land with only a handful of loyal companions. As he searches for his sisters, he is caught up in the civil war.

A brutal battle rages across the snow-covered field of Towton, and Ned, his sisters and the girl he loves must fight for survival until the bitter feud is played out to its bloody conclusion.
