My First French Picture Dictionary contains a selection of common everyday words, grouped in familiar themes such as In the Park, At the Seaside, and Things We Like to Eat. Each word is written in both French and English and is accompanied by a bold, colourful illustration. Many spreads also feature an action-packed scene incorporating the new words that have been introduced.

A special feature of the dictionary are the questions posed by the cat, the dog and the family of children who appear throughout the book.
