Jennifer Wojtowicz is an artist who also enjoys writing. Her life experiences have stimulated her as an artist, teacher and writer, and she currently teaches artists who also happen to have disabilities. She was inspired to write this story because of her brother, who has autism. She says, 'I have observed that when people are kind and accepting toward each other, alleviates a lot of needless suffering'. Jen lives in upstate New York, USA with her son Marcel. The Boy Who Grew Flowers is her first book. About the artist: Steve Adams is an award-winning illustrator who has studied graphic design in Canada and Europe. Steve currently lives in Montreal, Canada, where he shares his passion of illustration and graphic design as a college teacher. This is his first project with Barefoot Books.
