Jon Palfreman, PhD, is a retired journalism professor at the University of Oregon. He is a Nieman Fellow and winner of the Victor Cohn Prize for Excellence in Medical Science Reporting, as well as an Emmy, duPont, and Peabody Award-winning journalist. Palfreman is the coauthor of The Case of the Frozen Addicts and The Dream Machine, in addition to producing over forty primetime documentaries for the BBC and PBS. He resides in the city of Lexington, Massachusetts.
