British Museum: Mummy! by Lerryn Korda

A funny and informative lift-the-flap board book about all kinds of mummies This little ancient Egyptian girl can't find her mummy . . . and she needs your help! Could that be her behind the basket? Or is she hiding behind the Sphinx? After discovering a whole host of Egyptian animals, from cats to crocodiles, she discovers that there is more than one kind of mummy! Part of Nosy Crow's list of publishing in association with the British Museum, this is an ingenious piece of narrative non-fiction with a handy QR code at the end, which parents can scan to learn more about the ancient artefacts featured in the book. With stylish engaging illustrations from Lerryn Korda and large, sturdy flaps to lift on every page!
Lerryn was brought up around artists, performers and filmmakers, and she started to make books as soon as she could. She worked in the film business before doing an MA in illustration at Kingston University. She has been published by Walker Books and Scholastic and now joins Nosy Crow. Her favourite things are being in the sea with her children, social history, particularly London, and her garden. She lives in London with her partner, three children and studio companion, Bilbo the cat.
