British Teenage Dolls by Frances Baird

Written by a collector and expert on the subject of dolls, this book provides an account of the development of "teenage dolls" in Britain between the 1950s and the 1980s.
Frances Baird was born in South East London towards the end of the war years. Her Fascination with dolls began with the gift of a 'hard plastic doll' at the age of four. This doll was the beginning of a hobby that has lasted for more than forty years. She is now an expert on post-war dolls and edits The British Doll Collectors' Club & News, for all collectors of british made post war dolls as well as regularly writing for other doll magazines. Married with two teenage sons, she lives in Kent.
