Building a Better Body by Simon Jones

Simon Jones examines our struggles with church and offers a vision for creating a truly Jesus-centred church. Why do people struggle with church? And how can we use those struggles to create churches that are worthy of Jesus? This is a book for those who've given up on church, those looking for reasons to stay and those who love and lead churches. Can we build a better body? Simon Jones thinks so. How about you? During the decade of evangelism, a million people ran out of reasons to bother with church. The frightening trend is continuing in this century and it needs to be stopped. 'Challenging and liberating. Rob Parsons 'If in future years the local and national church is to 'stand firm in one spirit, contending as one man for the gospel', then we must hear the challenges of this book.' Rico Tice
Simon Jones worked as a financial journalist before training at London Bible College. He pastored Peckham Park Road Baptist before launching and editing Christianity Magazine. He is now minister of The Baptist Church, Bromley and author of six books including Building a Better Body: The Good Church Guide, Discovering Galatians, Discovering Luke and Discovering the New Testament, Simon listens to copious quantities of contemporary music, reads voraciously, watches films and enjoys cooking and body boarding.
