The feel-good place to buy books

BUILDING PLANK ON FRAME SHIP MODELS by Ron Mccarthy
Intended as a basic, practical manual for building all plank-on-frame models, this book takes as its example the Royal Navy's two-masted sloop, "Cruiser" of 1752. It leads the reader through every stage of building a model from preliminary research, through taking off lines, to the construction of the model and eventual display. Photographs of the author's model, taken during its building and explanatory line drawnigs are used extensively to describe each stage of the process.
Ron's engineering work took him to Asia and America, he later managed Telstra's National Design and Construction company NDC. He majored in several sports including soccer and he later became a Staff Coach for the Federation. His new passion is using his life experiences writing fiction wishing to both inform and entertain his readers.
