Building Your Mate's Self-Esteem by Dennis Rainey
Self-esteem is either the crippler or the completer of the marriage relationship, says Dennis Rainey. From their personal and seminar experiences with thousands of couples, Dennis and Barbara Rainey have found that one of the most vital, yet most often missing, ingredients in a marriage today is the diligent effort on the part of each spouse to build the other's self-esteem.
Barbara Rainey (www.familylifetoday.com) is a mother of six adult children (plus three sons-in-law and two daughters-in-law) and grandmother of twenty-one grandchildren. Barbara joined Campus Crusade for Christ in 1971 after graduating from the University of Arkansas with a Master of Arts degree in history. Dennis, her husband, is the president of FamilyLife, a Campus Crusade ministry based in Little Rock, Arkansas. They married in 1972. Barbara is the author and coauthor of numerous books on family-related themes and has published papers on the subject. She is a regular guest on FamilyLife Today, a nationally syndicated daily radio program, and speaks at the Weekend to Remember marriage conferences.
Barbara has recently begun a new endeavor called Ever Thine Home after serving alongside Dennis for more than forty years in ministry and at home. (www.everthinehome.com) This line of decorative home items for ladies makes it simple to display faith at home in a way that is both biblical and attractive.
