Buried Among the Stars by Blaze Ward
This book examines the role that bioremediation can play in the detoxification of soil, water and air to improve environmental and human health, with a specific focus on heavy metals and radionuclides.
Blaze has lived in a variety of locations, including rural Kansas, the Ozarks, Breckenridge, and Southern California. He's also committed a number of crimes, some of which are now beyond the statute of limitations. He'll tell you about being a bouncer at a cowboy bar outside a Marine base, a volunteer storm-spotter with the county fire department, or herding nerds at a small software firm (without the requirement for complete anonymity). He currently resides in the Seattle area, where he delivers stories in nearly every format imaginable in English and a few other languages.
