Burton on Burton by Mark Salisbury
A study of Tim Burton, director of films such as "Beetlejuice" and "Batman". It includes stills, storyboards, set designs, and text by Mark Salisbury, who interviews Burton and examines his place in both the long tradition of American animation and the popular cinema of the 1990s.Batman, Beetlejuice, Ed Wood, Edward Scissorhands, and Mars Attacks! were all created by Tim Burton. His first job was a six-minute tribute to Vincent Price at Disney, where he began his career. His second film, the twenty-seven-minute Frankenweenie, was never released in theaters because it was deemed unfit for children. He splits his time between New York and Los Angeles.
