This is a treatment of the core topics of business law, dealing thematically with business organizations, the financing of business activities and the main types of contracts including employment and the sale and supply of goods. The book also includes an introduction to the English legal system and a chapter on civil dispute resolution including alternative dispute resolution (ADR). There is also coverage of the Employment Rights Act 1996, the Arbitration Act 1996, the Competitions Act 1998, the Human Rights Act 1998, and the Minimum Wages Act 1998.
STEPHEN JUDGE taught Business Law for over thirty years at the University of Surrey, UK, as well as spending time as Professeur Invite, Faculty of Law, Universite Rene Descartes, Paris. He is the author of a number of papers and the successful Business Law in the Palgrave Macmillan Law Masters series, as well as Q&A Company Law for Oxford University Press.
