Nigel Cawthorne read physics at University College, London, but soon switched to a writing career, specialising in quirky facts and royalty. He lives a stone's throw from his favourite haunt, the British Library, and has written for the Guardian, Daily Telegraph, Daily Mail, Daily Mirror, and has appeared on ITN News, Channel 4 News, Sky News, TV-am and Radio 4's Today Programme. He previously wrote, I Know I Am Rude, but I Like It - Prince Philip on Prince Philip.
