Capital Bride by Cynthia Woolf
Unexpectedly homeless, un-wed mother Sarah Johnson has few options. They could go live with her cousin William, but Sara believes there's something untoward about his offer and it leaves her feeling uncomfortable. She's qualified to be a governess, but no one will have her because she wasn't married when she had her precious MaryAnn. Matchmaker & Co could be her salvation as mail-order-bride to Mr. John Atwood. Single father, John Atwood, is raising his daughter the best he can in the wilds of the Colorado Territory but knows he needs help. No woman he knows wants to take on the raising of his daughter who hasn't spoken since she saw her mother brutally murdered during a bank robbery. Can Sarah, John and their two daughters overcome their pasts and find happiness together?Cynthia Woolf is the author of twenty-two historical western romance books and two short tales, with more on the way. Cynthia enjoys both creating and reading romantic novels. Taming A Wild Heart, her first western romance, was inspired by her mother's account of meeting Cynthia's father on a ranch near Creede, Colorado. The only similarity between the stories is that Tame A Wild Heart takes place in Creede. Her father was a ranch owner, not a bounty hunter, and her mother was a nursemaid (today called a nanny).
The ranch where they met is still there as part of Mineral County's open space in southwestern Colorado. She has six scifi, space opera romance novels under the pen name CA Woolf. In space, she refers to them as westerns. Cynthia attributes her sanity and ability to develop her creativity to her loving supportive spouse Jim and her fantastic critique partners.
