Peter Bently attended ten schools around the world and studied languages at Oxford. He started writing for children after becoming a parent and lives in Devon with his wife, Lucy, and children Theo and Tara. Helen Oxenbury has charmed generations of children with her award-winning illustrations. She has won the Kate Greenaway medal and the Kurt Maschler Award and her numerous books include We're Going on a Bear Hunt by Michael Rosen and Alice's Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll.
