Card Weaving by Candace Crocket

With nothing more than some strands of yarn and a few simple cards with holes in them, you can easily weave fabrics of great complexity and beauty. No loom is required, and no tedious picking out of patterns by hand.
Candace Crockett is a professor of art at San Francisco State University. An important theme in her career as an artist has involved using historical and ethnic techniques and imagery in fresh new ways. Her work appears in corporate collections and has been shown in museums and galleries across the country. Other books are 'Beyond Weaving' (Watson Guptill, 1973) and 'The Complete Spinning Book' (WG, 1977).
