By joining the Regular Army in 1974, Tom Kratman, then seventeen years old, became a political exile and defector from the PRM (People's Republic of Massachusetts). After his initial stint, he remained a Regular Army infantryman for the rest of his life, returning to Massachusetts as an unofficial dissident while attending Boston College. Tom is currently working as an attorney in southwest Virginia.
