Prof.Dr. Dr. Roger Garaudy (1913-2012) was born in Marseille as the son of a bookkeeper. He went to the Henri IV Lycee. in Paris, as well as the Faculté des Lettres. Her studies culminated in a Master's degree in philosophy and a doctorate in philosophy from the University of Sorbonne in 1953, with the dissertation Eine materialistische Erkenntnistheorie (deutsch Berlin 1960). At Moskau, he completed his second doctoral dissertation, Eine Freiheit als philosophische and historische Kategorie (deutsch Berlin 1959).

Garaudy was able to flee to France after spending 30 months in a German detention center. He was a member of the Kommunistischen Party since 1933 and served as an Abgeordneter of the KPF in both verfassungsgebenden Versammlungs from 1945 to 1946. From 1946 to 1951, and then again from 1956 to 1958, he was a member of the National Assembly's Wahlbezirks Committee, serving as its Vice President from 1956 to 1958. From 1951 until 1955, Garaudy served as the party organ L'Humanité in the Soviet Union's correspondent.

Since 1965, he has been a Professor of Philosophy and Art History at the University of Poitiers, as well as the Director of the Centre d'Etudes de Recherches Marxistes in Paris. He was a member of the KPF's Politbüro from 1961 to 1970. After XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Garaudy rose to the position of Reformkommunist at the KPdSU's Party Day in February 1956, critiquing sozialistische Realism in 1953 on a künstlerical level and advocating for the recognition of Picasso, Kafka, and Saint-John Perse's art.

He demanded Marxism in the twenty-first century in 1966. After describing the idea of eternal love Christi as beautiful a year before, he dedicated the next century to the renewal of humanistic values. He was a presidential candidate for the French Alternatives and Greens in 1981. He was also the Director of the Institute for the Dialogue of Civilizations in Paris for a decade.
