Cat and Bear by Carol Greene
Bear arrives in a big red box for the child's birthday, and the child loves him immediately. Cat, used to coming first in the child's affections, is unimpressed, and tries all sorts of tricks to stop the child loving Bear. Then one day, somehow, Bear falls out of the window and no one can find him. Cat is the only one who has an idea where he is...An amusing tale of two rivals, with exquisite illustrations.
