This book offers the rare treasure of previously unseen photographs of the northern Thai capital of Chiang Mai. In the early 20th century, the successful Thai-Chinese merchant Luang Anusarn Chutima became an outstanding amateur photographer. His enthusiasm led him to photograph not only important events but also the daily life and culture of the time. He also took portraits of famous local personalities. To honor and enshrine the outstanding photographic portfolio and legacy of Luang Anusarn, EDM has created this wonderful pictorial portfolio of his work, with texts that explain its importance in the context of Thai/Siamese history.
