Cats by Hans Silvester

This beautiful and informative volume, full of stunning photographs and whimsical illustrations, lets young readers explore every facet of their favourite feline pets. Each image transports readers into a different aspect of a cat's cozy, comfortable world - be it sleeping in the afternoon shade, stalking a fishing boat on a sun-drenced pier, roughhousing with its littermates, or looking after its young. The instructive text explores cats' curiosity, playfulness, courage, acrobatic abilities, and much more. The heartwarming and often humorous photographs instantly transport readers into a world where cats truly are man's other best friend.
Hans Silvester was born in 1938 in Germany. He began to take photos at the young age of 12. A few years later he had done a series of voyages throughout Europe, Asia, Japan, and America. In 1960 he had published his first book on the sun drenched provincial region of France that had achieved enormous success. Since then he has continued to live in Provence and has published numerous photo books on cats and their habitats.
