This first volume covers the Sundays, feasts and events of Ordinary Time, from Pentecost to All Saints' Day, All Saints' to Advent, and Epiphany to Candlemas. It provides elegant forms of words for the variable parts of seasonal services, from opening prayers to Collects, Gospel acclamations, prayers over gifts, Eucharistic prefaces and final blessings, and includes traditional and contemporary prayers from a wide range of sources.

Alan Griffiths was adviser in liturgy to the Catholic Conference of Bishops of England and Wales, and taught liturgy at Wornesh Seminary before taking up parish ministry in Ringwood, Hampshire. Formerly an Anglican, he is the author of "We Give You Thanks and Praise" and "A Basic Catholic Dictionary".
