Celtic Mythology Collection 2 by Brian O'sullivan

Over the past centuries, many Gaelic/Celtic cultural tales and beliefs have been relegated to the status of children's stories or cartoonish caricature, misunderstood and misinterpreted for as long as most of us can remember.

This third collection of short stories follows on from the previous 2016 collection, with a fresh group of contemporary authors hauling ancient Gaelic/Celtic stories out of the shadows, back into the light where they belong.

Love, mystery and drama, these fascinating tales mark a new movement of authentic and original cultural writing and a better understanding of the Celtic cultures. Accompanied by explanatory notes on the background cultural context, this latest collection examines the stories of Macha and the naming of Emain Macha, the deity 'An Dagda', Changelings, why you should be wary of crows and many more.

Brian O'Sullivan was born in the Irish county of Cork. He went on to travel widely after finishing his degree at University College Cork. He now lives in New Zealand with his family and manages a small publishing company (Irish Imbas Books), although he still visits Ireland on a regular basis. Brian creates literature that is heavily influenced by Irish culture, language, history, and mythology. Literary short stories (The Irish Muse collection), mystery thrillers (The Beara Trilogy), a contemporary interpretation of the Fionn mac Cumhaill/ Fenian legends (The Fionn mac Cumhaill Series), and the Liath Luachra Series, which has been adapted for the movie, are among them.

Brian's books have become solid favorites of readers all over the world, despite the fact that he writes primarily for an Irish readership. His unique style, attention to historical accuracy, and wit have made his books firm favorites of readers all over the world. His monthly newsletter 'Vóg' (containing monthly essays on his writing and creative initiatives, facets of Irish culture, and other oddities) may be found at http://irishimbasbooks.com.
