Celtic Night Prayer by Andy Raine
This prayer book provides daily readings, four versions of compline (the traditional monastic night service), and various liturgies for special occasions such as house blessings and dedications. It is suitable for group use, as well as for personal reflection, providing an aid for prayer.
Andy Raine lives and works on Holy Island, Northumberland, in association with the Northumbrian Community, at Nether Springs near Alnwick, which is one of the many burgeoning retreat centres in the UK. John Skinner, a former journalist, soon turned to childen’s bookselling. He founded the Red House, with its hugely successful children’s book club, as well as the puffin Club for Penguins. He is married with four adult children.
