She is currently the Editor-in-Chief of Majesty Magazine, the leading monthly magazine covering the British Royal Family. She is acknowledged as one of the world's leading experts and in the unique position of knowing many members of Royalty and their families personally. Majesty Magazine was launched in 1980 by Peter Shepard, during the lead up to the Queen Mother's 80th birthday celebrations. Ingrid Seward joined the magazine in late 1983 as editor, her connections enabling her to get many exclusive interviews for the magazine. Today, she is mainly responsible for writing some editorial and publicity for the magazine. Currently Majesty magazine is selling around 100,000 copies, with core sales around 40,000 concentrated in North America, Australia and the UK. In 2011, CBS News retained Ingrid to cover the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton. She gave interviews on all aspects of the wedding for world television and radio. Also for CBS News, she contributed to the coverage of the wedding of Prince Charles and Camilla at Windsor in 2005, the death of the Queen Mother in 2002, in addition she was the Royal Commentator on the Queen's Golden Jubilee in 2000 and she co-hosted coverage of Diana's funeral in 1997. Ingrid has been interviewed many times on ABC News Good Morning America and NBC's Today Show. In 1988 she co-hosted the wedding of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson for CNN.
