Derek Wilson was born in Hamilton in 1982 and started following Motherwell at the age of four. Derek was a season ticket holder for 14 years before fleeing to Berlin to escape the clutches of Fir Park after university. He works as a freelance journalist and has written for many publications including Bild and 11 Freunde while continuing to co-edit the FirParkCorner.com website and contributing to the Motherwell fanzine, Waiting for the Great Leap Forward.
